“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. At the same time, pray also for us, that God may open to us a door for the word, to declare the mystery of Christ.” – Colossians 4:2-3
Here is a personal prayer outline for Emmaus as we begin 2024. We hope you will commit to the Lord, a regular time of prayer and fasting as we seek God’s will together as a church family.
- Praise and thank God for all of His blessings – Specifically name blessings we have received over the course of this past year.
- Pray for the future of our church – Seek the Lord for His leading and guidance for our church body and the ministries we have and will be implementing in the future at Emmaus Church; Pray for ministry focus; Pray for clarity and guidance as we navigate 2024 and beyond.
- Pray for the Lord’s provision – As the Lord provides, pray that we as a church would have wisdom with our resources and finances; Pray for courage to walk by faith and not by sight.
- Pray that God would open our hearts to be generous with our time, talents, and money. 1 Chronicles 29:14 — “But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able thus to offer willingly? For all things come from You, and of Your own have we given You.”
- Pray for loved ones and our community to know and come to know the Lord Jesus Christ; Pray for wisdom in regards to a church wide focus on evangelism and discipleship.
- Pray for the next generation; Pray for our children and the young people of our church; Pray for their protection spiritually, mentally and physically.
