History Session 20: The Father’s Delight

 

Luke 12:32: “Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

  1. What are some specific worries that tend to consume your thoughts? How do these worries affect your daily life and relationships?
  2. Jesus contrasts worry with trust in our Heavenly Father. What makes it difficult to trust God with our concerns? What helps you grow in trust?
  3. How does understanding God as your perfect Father impact how you view your circumstances and challenges?
  4. The sermon discusses the difference between preparation and worry. Where do you see this distinction in your own life? How can you tell when you’ve crossed from healthy preparation into unhealthy worry?
  5. What does it mean practically to “seek first the kingdom of God” in your daily routines and responsibilities?
  6. How does seeing the congregation as the visible manifestation of God’s kingdom change how you view and interact with your church family?
